Ali Kershaw | Business Insights Analyst

From running training sessions to providing software support for Pathfinder Solutions related products, from client software installation to software maintenance and update, from providing analytical support to project management, Ali performs all her duties with passion and care.
Apart from her exceptional organisational skills and her commitment to service excellence, Ali also brings over 20 years of database marketing experience specialising in database analysis, design and direct marketing applications across a wide variety of industries to Pathfinder Solutions and their clients.

Ali considers Pathfinder Solutions a great company to work for because of its tight-knit team, all working together in a friendly and supportive manner. The projects are interesting and diverse. Most importantly, Pathfinder Solutions always rises to challenges, develops and delivers the right solution to solve clients’ business issues.

After her busy working days, she gets a great deal of pleasure from spending time with her kids, enjoying netball and tennis. To relax Ali loves a glass of wine, a good book or the company of her friends.

Adam Green | Senior Business Insights Manager

As the Senior Business Insights Manager, Adam develops and fosters new commercial relationships for the business and is responsible for overseeing the successful outcomes with each client’s project in the south-west region (Vic, Tas, SA, WA).

Adam  has an experienced background in providing professional services  to organisations, having worked for various  local and  international organisations that specialised in CRM analytics, e-business  consulting , e-learning and electronic publishing. He has held various positions in consulting, management, product development, strategic alliances and client development and brings this wealth of technical and commercial experience to his role at Pathfinder Solutions.

The people, culture, ethics and reputation of the organisation make Pathfinder Solutions a second home for Adam.

Adam holds a MBA (Marketing) from Deakin Business School. He enjoys spending time with his family and he is also a golf enthusiast.

Chris Wright | Business Insights Analyst

Chris is responsible for data processing, data preparation and manipulation, analysis, segmentation and geocoding. 

With more than 8 years experience in various IT roles across multiple sectors, Chris brings an in depth knowledge of automation, standardisation and problem solving techniques to the company. In his kit bag, he also has a great sense of humour, patience and dedication.

When asked why he would want to work for Pathfinder Solutions, his answer was "Why wouldn't I?"

Chris holds a Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering from The University of Birmingham. He enjoys playing PC games or riding his mountain bike up and down steep hills.

Gunter Haeussler | Senior Business Insights Manager

Gunter is responsible for translating client needs into actionable insights.  He works closely with clients to understand their business challenges and strategic objectives in order to deliver be-spoke solutions that deliver bottom line results.

With more than 10 years working experience in the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Australia, Gunter brings a wealth of strategic business, marketing, and consulting experience to his clients. Prior to joining Pathfinder Solutions he held national, international, and global think tank assignments with a leading Consulting, Analytics and Market Intelligence firm.  What really differentiates him is his ability to think outside the square to deliver the most suitable solution to clients.

Gunter has chosen to work at Pathfinder Solutions because the company offers clients’ second to none evidence based marketing and business insights leveraging on powerful proprietary data sets and methodologies in combination with strong analytical and technical capabilities. The culture is very much in line with his philosophy, i.e., work hard but also know how to have fun.

Gunter holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours Degree) International Management from ICADE E-4 Madrid, Spain and ESB Reutlingen, Germany. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his two gorgeous daughters, his wife and their friends. Other than that he loves going on adventure rides on his mountain bike and abseiling. One of his not so distant personal objectives is to go around Australia on a touring bike – the planning of which is already in full swing!

Helen Neville | Administration Manager

Helen has a diverse role in Pathfinder Solutions. From invoicing to debt collection, from payroll to accounts payable, from administration to answering the phone, Helen handles those tasks with pride and joy.

Bringing over 40 years of experience working in a range of administration and book keeping roles, no wonder Helen can always make those complicated and demanding tasks seem simple.

Helen considers Pathfinder Solutions her second home because it offers her an extremely professional working environment and the people are friendly and passionate. 

After five Helen enjoys cooking, watching movies, reading and dining out.

Jeff Kerr-Bell | Business Insights Manager

Jeff’s primary role is to form strong and knowledgeable client relationships to deliver solutions that solve their business problems. He also assists clients to make informed business and marketing decisions.

Jeff brings broad experience in both sales and marketing, across a number of global leaders and local businesses, in industries including FMCG, packaging, Internet Services, Online Media and eBusiness Solutions. Jeff is particularly strong in communicating complex concepts in an easy to understand way, and is rumoured to have been born with a whiteboard marker in his hand.

Jeff has chosen Pathfinder Solutions as his second home because Pathfinder Solutions clearly has an ethical, experienced, passionate and symbiotic team of people with a family feel and marketing oriented service to a client base at the 'big end of town'. It is a small business punching above its weight and achieving a market leading position, while maintaining a high-achieving, warm and supportive culture. Jeff also feels that he has the opportunity to learn from and contribute to this family.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from the University of Auckland (NZ). A confessed car and motor sport lover, Jeff will  be involved  in anything to do with cars. He also enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis or football (the round ball), water activities and watching documentaries.

John Higgins | Business Insights Manager

John is responsible for working with clients to help them identify the best fit solutions (data, software or bespoke) that match their requirements and provide tangible benefits to their business.

Apart from his English accent, John also brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience around how a business can leverage geographic, demographic & logistics solutions to improve business performance. He has worked in multiple industry sectors including retail, utilities, distribution and professional services.

When asked why he chooses to work for Pathfinder Solutions, John summed it up in 3 points:

John has a BSc Environmental Science degree from University of Surrey and a MSc in Geographical Information Science from University College London (UCL). Besides enjoying life and trying something new every now and then, John is also an avid scuba diver.

Leroy Jones | Insights Development Manager

Leroy is charged with the responsibility of providing analytical and insights solutions to meet clients’ needs, assisting account managers in designing the most appropriate solution for clients as well as mentoring other analytical team members.

With more than 12 years of analytical and business experience with an emphasis in the retail , financial  and transport sectors, Leroy brings strategic thinking, innovative and practical approach to problem solving to Pathfinder Solutions and its clients. Leroy also has the gift of translating complex concepts and models into simple actionable solutions.

Leroy is proud to be part of the Pathfinder Solutions family because it provides:

Les Coleman | Senior Business Insights Manager

As the Senior Business Insights Manager, Les focuses on developing new commercial relationships, working closely with clients to develop tailored solutions to overcome their business challenges and managing client projects to successful completion.

Les has a solid background in Business and Marketing fundamentals with a wealth of experience in business development and client management across a range of industries in the UK.  He also has an ability to interpret business needs and provide bespoke marketing insights solutions which adds true value to clients’ businesses.

Martin Foon | Marketing Manager

Martin re branded Pathfinder Solutions in June 2007. He is now responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategies and programs for Pathfinder Solutions.

Bringing more than 10 years of experience in marketing roles across various industries ensures Martin brings business vision, creative flair and careful attention to detail to the table for Pathfinder Solutions, their partners and clients. Armed with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, passion and enthusiasm, Martin creates successful outcomes for internal and external customers.

Martin considers Pathfinder Solutions a fantastic company to work for because there is a high level of respect for people throughout the company. This translates to strong ethics, support from management and an excellent working environment. The team always look for different approaches to solve clients’ problem, tailoring solutions to their needs. The company also encourages and promotes team work.

Nicholas Cadey | Business Insights Manager

As the Business Insights Manager, Nicholas Cadey creates and maintains outstanding client relationships, assists clients in translating their needs into actionable insights.

Nicholas brings more than 10 years experience of creating valuable customer relationships through understanding client requirements and delivering great solutions for both SME as well as Blue Chip companies to the table for Pathfinder Solutions’ clients. He is customer centric, passionate and eager to create practical solutions for various clients.

Nicholas consider Pathfinder Solutions a great company to work for because Pathfinder Solutions has a unique offering within the Australian market which places the company at the forefront of marketing analytics and business insights. He really enjoys working closely with thought leaders as it presents him with endless opportunities to learn. It is also inspiring to be surrounded by bright and passionate people both within the Pathfinder Solutions’ offices and within client organisations.  

Nicholas has a Bachelor of Business and Marketing Communications from Greenwich University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Direct Marketing from The Institute of Direct Marketing at Imperial University.

Being relatively new to Sydney, Nicholas spend a lot of this spare time exploring the city and when the opportunity presents itself he enjoys creating and appreciating art in all it's guises. He is also a keen sailer.

Rose Yip | Insights Development Manager

Rose is a valued member of the Pathfinder Solutions team as the Insights Development Manager. In fact, she has worked with the Pathfinder Solutions’ Directors since 1993, when they founded Geospend Pty Ltd, the Australia Post joint venture.

Rose is responsible for most aspects of Pathfinder Solutions’ market insights business. She plays a pivotal role in the daily operations of various analytics and insights projects.

Armed with 14 years of experience in spatial analysis, data manipulation, in-depth understanding of Pathfinder Solutions’ software and products, Rose also has strong analytical skills with a gift for analysing a range of highly complex business issues to create actionable insights.

The people, strong ethics and the diverse and challenging projects are the three main ingredients that make Rose consider Pathfinder Solutions her second home. She is also proud to be the longest serving employee of the company.

Rose has a degree in Bachelor of Science - Operations Research from University of Canterbury, NZ. Her passions outside of work are spending time with her husband and three boys, baking, listening to music and relaxing.

Shane Butler | Business Insights Analyst

Shane is responsible for analysing customer and market data for clients to deliver marketing and business insights. His duties include customer segmentation and profiling, data mining, predictive analytics, mapping and geocoding.

Having previously worked in the technology and finance sectors, Shane brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for solving business problems using data. His skills include applying data mining and predictive analytics to derive business value. He has also worked on large amounts of customer data for customer profiling and segmentation, including building response models for direct marketing within the credit industry.

Shane has chosen Pathfinder Solutions as his place of work because the team are committed to solving business problems across a wide range of industries and are known for thinking outside the square to achieve this goal.

Shane holds a Master of Information Technology (Research) degree from Monash University and a Bachelor of Information Technology degree, with Honours, from Deakin University. When not at work, he enjoys running, going to the beach and catching up with friends.

Simon Sullivan | Statistician, Consulting Services

Simon has the exciting role of developing new insights and creating advanced solutions to address clients’ business issues.

Simon has extensive experience in FMCG and retail sectors. He has also worked in transport research, oil industry and traditional market research. During that time, Simon has used multiple data sources including sales, transaction, customer, market research, consumer panel, spatial and advertising data to name a few. He is experienced in a variety of techniques including multi-variate statistical methods, choice modelling, data fusion, optimising techniques and heuristics.

Simon enjoys his life in Pathfinder Solutions because everyone in the organisation is professional and genuine. The company is committed to advance problem solving and doing new things.

Simon has a Bachelor of Science (Operations Research & Statistics) degree from the University of Queensland as well as a Bachelor of Theology degree from the Sydney College of Divinity. He is a tea snob, enjoys a run, the opera, the theatre, cricket and bell-ringing.

Tam Mai-Viet | Business Insights Analyst

As the Senior Business Analyst, Tam is responsible for compiling and maintaining various demographic databases. Working with the consulting team, she also provides actionable solutions to various clients.

Bringing more than 20 years of experience in the area of geography based market analysis, Tam’s skills include market mapping (Tactician), retail analysis, data audit and verification as well as customer profiling. In her kit bag, she also has a keen eye for detail and the strong ability to multi-task.

Tam considers Pathfinder Solutions a great place to work because of its professional and friendly working environment.

Tam holds a BA degree from The Saigon University and also a Diploma of Business Information System from The NSW TAFE. Tam loves cooking, gardening and travelling.

Thuy Mai-Viet | Chief Statistician

As the Chief Statistician, Thuy has a key role in developing and maintaining Pathfinder Solutions’ demographic and economic databases. He also builds and continuously improves various forecasting models to support clients' needs.

With more than 30 years of in depth knowledge in modelling and forecasting, as well as a comprehensive understanding of Australian geography and demography, economic and social issues, Thuy is an invaluable resource to Pathfinder Solutions and its clients.

Thuy has been a long standing member of Pathfinder Solutions. He loves it here for 3 simple reasons:
